Concept
Shapes with sharp corners are structurally weak. Arc and circles are very strong shapes.
If port holes were squares, the openings would get damaged and worn out sooner.
The same with any high pressure devices such as planes, rockets,etc.
Application
In high pressure environments, make sure you use “not sharp” shape.
