Implementing Stacking For Observation

You know Stacking for deduction already.

It is the utilization of subconscious brain, you get a lot of information in but don’t try to figure out the information just yet.

Instead, you want to put a little stress on your brain so that the information is instilled in your mind and being worked out in the background.

Implementing in Observation

Problem

There’s this question raised in my head when I’m practicing observation:

“When I practice, I pay attention to one thing only,

But in the real world in the real time setting, there is so many nuances. How do I process all that”

Even if you’re able to observe everything (I highly doubt that even Sherlock Holmes can pay attention to everything), it will be hard to process all of that.

Do you remember that scene when Sherlock analyze the jury?

He takes a look at a person, deduce their profession, move to the next one.

Now, I want you to picture that in your head, pretend that you know what profession someone is, how fast is the process, do you feel a little shake in your hands, is your heart beating faster.

Keep your thought and feeling right there. If you’re reading this, chances are: you’re not that far into deduction yet, you can’t deduce their profession in 1 second.

BUT, that how it should feel when you implement Stacking in Observation. The same rush.

You take a look at someone or something, note in your head what you observe, move onto the next target.

From doing this, you have both stress your mind (through rapid change in target) and getting loads of information. The two ingredients for an effective Stacking.

Advantage

Everything related to Stacking’s advantage is the same.

• The ability to delay processing information.
• Being able to pay attention to a more immediate threats or emergencies.
• Work bigger loads of information (in the back ground).
• Have time for an overview of the whole scene.
