Deductions While Working With Kids zusgazmy, 22/10/202316/11/2023 Home » Blog » Deductions While Working With Kids Credit to Froogboi I work with kids, in my time working with them, I’ve gotten to meet a lot of very pleasant and unpleasant lil humans. I deduce at work, so its natural I deduce the kids at my job. It’s kind of fascinating seeing kids grow from the perspective I have as a deductionist I think, because I get to observe a lot of the smaller things that happen before they just like pop into consciousness. Working with them has made me kinder more tolerant of getting bitten yadda yadda, but also I think it’s given me a unique understanding of people. I’ve never been too great at deducing child parent family dynamics, but since working with my lil bros it’s become a lot easier. Seeing parents pick up and drop off kids and how they talk to them and how they talk to me about their kids and vice versa has given me more opportunity to practice which is always nice. I guess even though I have younger siblings it’s kind of difficult to think of very very young children (1-6) as being really really capable of knowing what’s happening. And yeah, sometimes the tantrums seem random, but after a while you realize there are reasons for them. Small reasons, reasons that to adults don’t seem like a big deal, but that’s because we can regulate them. When I mess up a drawing, I move on, because I know I can create another. When one of my kids messes up, they might cry but that’s because they’ve made so little art in their life they don’t really know they can just…start over without penalty. Working with them has really helped me understand peoples emotions to a much greater degree, I guess. Seeing children be the extreme of often much more subtle emotions seen in adults helps me recognize those emotions in adults when they do present themselves. Thank you to the kids I work with for helping me become a better deductionist 🙂(and for upping my tolerance for bulshit lmaooo) Related Blog resources
